Collaboration aims to equip financial services professionals with practical AI skills, driving growth and innovation in the industry
LONDON – Tuesday 6 August 2024: Mindstone, an AI training platform and global community on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Templar Advisors, a leading communications coaching and training firm specialising in the financial services sector, today announce a collaboration agreement to enable Templar’s extensive client list to access Mindstone’s AI Competency Program.
Spending on AI systems in the financial services sector is projected to surge, more than doubling to $97 billion by 2027—the highest among five major industries. However, there is a critical skills gap that, if not addressed, could limit the practical application and potential of AI within it. The collaboration will help financial institutions upskill their workforce to leverage AI technologies effectively, drive innovation and growth without resorting to large-scale automation-related job cuts, and enhance competitiveness in an increasingly AI-driven market. Additionally, the program will focus on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while harnessing the power of AI and aligns with the upcoming EU AI Act, which will make AI training for employees mandatory from December for any company that makes AI technologies available to their employees, including widely used tools like ChatGPT.
Templar Advisors’ entire team will undergo Mindstone’s AI Competency Program, enabling them to advise their clients from a position of first-hand experience. This approach will help drive positive impact in the financial services industry by focusing on upskilling existing talent rather than replacing it with automation.
Joshua Wöhle, CEO and Co-Founder at Mindstone, commented: “Combining Templar’s expertise in running training programs for financial institutions with our expertise in delivering AI programs for non-technical staff, means we can make a real difference in the financial services sector. Our goal is to equip everyone with the tools they need to be successful in an AI-driven world, enabling businesses to grow faster while retaining their valuable human capital.”
Joseph Bikart , Co-Founder at Templar Advisors, added: “We’re excited to work alongside Mindstone to bring cutting-edge AI training to our clients in the financial services sector. This collaboration will enable us to offer our clients access to a unique blend of industry-specific knowledge and practical AI skills, helping professionals to drive innovation and improve efficiency and productivity in their organisations.”
