Schöppingen/Stamford (USA), 18th August, 2022 – Shopware has been included in the 2022 iteration of the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™. This marks the third time in a row that the open commerce platform has been part of the renowned report.

Founded in 1979, Gartner, Inc.® delivers actionable, objective insight to executives and their teams. With over 15,000 client enterprises in more than 100 countries, Gartner, Inc.® is one of the leading companies for technological research and consultancy. In the Magic Quadrant™ report, the “completeness of Vision” and the “ability to execute” are evaluated. The different providers are classified into one of the four quadrants: Niche Players, Challengers, Visionaries and Leaders.

A convincing vision

Shopware is particularly proud of how their vision has been evaluated in this year’s Gartner report, as this recognizes the monumental steps the German company has taken.

These milestones include accepting an investment from Carlyle and PayPal, bringing their Enterprise solution to the cloud, and opening their first office in New York City in June. This year Shopware, once again, painted a compelling picture of its vision and set the course for an exciting journey ahead.

Stefan Hamann, founder and Co-CEO of shopware AG, is pleased with this development and the renewed recognition of Gartner®: ” I am incredibly proud that Gartner® has recognized us again in its 2022 Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Commerce. Being recognized by Gartner for the third time already is both very rewarding and we feel it perfectly matches our strategy to position Shopware as THE flexible and open solution for modern mid-market ecommerce. We take this as an incentive to continue our successful journey and empower merchants to build the exceptional.”
