Viktor Lysyuk joins from VISA to accelerate TransferGo’s commitment to bringing better, fairer financial services to the global migrant community

LONDON, UK (June 29, 2022) – TransferGo, one of the world’s fastest growing money transfer companies, today announces the hire of Viktor Lysyuk as its new Global Head of Banking Infrastructure. Viktor’s appointment reinforces TransferGo’s commitment to establishing best practice partnerships with banks, financial institutions and fintech players, and growing its global network to the benefit of its migrant customer base.

TransferGo has a history of working closely with international financial institutions to expand its payment network and deliver new payment innovation, ensuring it can provide migrants with fast, efficient and cost-effective money transfers. For instance, in the last year, TransferGo partnered with Checkout.com to scale payments into 153 countries, while its work with both Mastercard and VISA has enabled real-time international transfers directly to billions of bank cards.

Now, with over 12 years’ experience brokering and negotiating deals in fintech and banking, Viktor brings a robust set of skills that will both strengthen existing and help forge new industry partnerships for TransferGo. Most recently, as Partner Network Head for Europe and CEMEA for VISA, Viktor expanded and transformed the payment-to-account ecosystem for Visa Direct, and it’s this expertise that will support TransferGo’s ambitions to grow 5x in the next three to four years.

Viktor’s appointment is a statement of intent from TransferGo that it will focus closely on its industry relationships to update and develop payment pathways, and power faster, more efficient and more flexible forms of money transfers. Viktor will be responsible for reviewing TransferGo’s current partnership network, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion into new markets, and reinforcing the fintech company’s commitment to driving growth and product innovation through industry collaboration.

Commenting on Viktor’s appointment, Daumantas Dvilinskas, CEO and Co-Founder, TransferGo said: “TransferGo would not be able to support the migrant community without the help of our banking and financial services partners, so Viktor’s role is pivotal to the future of the business. Viktor is a seasoned professional whose experience will be instrumental in not only helping TransferGo expand our network but also driving future innovation in payments. He will focus his efforts on ensuring that TransferGo’s global partnerships are built to match the firm’s strategic intent and growth aspirations. I have no doubt that he will help take the company to the next level and I am pleased to welcome him to the TransferGo team.”

Viktor Lysyuk, Global Head of Banking Infrastructure, TransferGo added: “TransferGo is making a name for itself as a fintech that cares – a business with a clear mission to drive better outcomes for the migrant community. As a one-time migrant myself, I am very pleased to get onboard and use my expertise to further strengthen TransferGo’s global partnership network, helping develop the future of international money transfers, and deliver the best possible payment experiences for our customers.”

Built by migrants, for migrants, TransferGo is making international payments fairer, faster and more cost-effective, boosting local economies and helping to improve standards of living. With offices in London, Vilnius, Kaunas, Warsaw, Krakow, Berlin and Istanbul, TransferGo is a pan-European, mission-driven organisation, committed to creating an equitable world for all migrants.
